Synopsis: There is a battle going on for the soul and mind of our youth, and many are in the valley of decision. Stephanie, a teen girl is bored with church and wants to get into the modeling world.The exciting lure of the world is great, but it is only a glittering Mirage. Because of the prayers of people who care about her, God allows drastic measures to warn her.

EXCERPT of PLAY:
Stephanie: (looking at her friends) Well .. I'm going in for the appointment and if they accept me, I am going to do it. My dad will have a fit, but I think my mom will let me.
Kelsie: (after pleading with their friend, of the danger she's flirting with, says sadly) Well..we have to go Steph. You know we love and care about you. Let's talk again tomorrow..okay?
Cindy: Yes, please let's talk again before you make any big decisions..okay Stephanie?
Stephanie: (walks them to the door) Okay sure.. we'll talk, but I really think I'm gonna do it. This is an unbelievable opportunity for me. (girls smile sadly at her, then leave)
(The girls stand outside Stephanie's door)
Cindy: This is much worse than we thought,God has got to touch Stephanie tonight to make her see that she's making a very bad choice.
Kelsie: Lets go to the church,we 've got to pray for her.God has just got to do something tonight to change her mind.(They walk away, SPOT OUT)
(Dim light on Stephanie)
Stephanie: (looks through magazine, yawns) Oh ., (yawns).. they don't know what they're talking about, they're just jealous. (falls asleep in chair) SPOT OFF
(Angel walks to Stephanie and wakes her) SPOT ON
Angel: Stephanie, come with me.(they begin walking) God loves you so much, Stephanie and wants you to make the right decisions, that He has given me the power to pull back the veil and show you...the Mirage.
(Eerie music plays as they leave her room and walk into a dark, spooky scene where two gates stand)
Stephanie: What is this place?
Angel: Why this.. is the valley of decision, those Gate lead to Destruction. Here you will see some poor souls that have made the wrong choices, and now.are lost forever.
(Hideous screams and moans emanate from behind the "gates")
The last of five "lost souls" Stephanie will see is : The Model
A young woman runs out of the darkness screaming at Stephanie, two demons chase her, grabbing at her as they approach Stephanie, The Angel puts his hand up and the demons freeze in place, as the testimony is spoken.
The Model
Pleeeeeease.... don't you.. make the same mistake I did. Look at me! Do you know who I was? I was your favorite model, ah yes...a super model. (laugh/sob) I had it all.. I thought! The enemy of my soul told me lies, he painted a beautiful picture and I... believed him,I bought it all.
Just a little step, to become a model, but before long I was in his grasp.
And with that lifestyle, I had to forfeit all the really important things.
Things like my purity..my Christian values..(screams) my walk with God! (sobs) And what for...the fame ..fun. the money...?
First it was just social drinking....then I got hooked on drugs just to keep up with the pressure of the lifestyle...the traveling, the fierce competition.
Oh people warned me too... (sneers) but I wouldn't listen to anyone..
I knew better, I could make my own choices.
When I was young, sometimes I hated my parents, because they never let me do anything. but go to church! I got fed up with it! I wanted fun and excitement.
People thought I was beautiful..and finally I got my chance to become a famous model... (laughs sadly) Ha! if they could see me now!(hysterical again) It is NOT what you think...I finally overdosed on drugs and now... (sreams) I AM LOST FOR ETERNITY, BECAUSE I BELIEVED THE MIRAGE!
(Imps come and start dragging her away) Please...don't you be a fool like I was....don't make the same stupid choices (sobs and fights the Imps)No...noooooooooooooooooo..go baaack.
