 "We're Not Drunk as Ye Suppose" 
                     ( Day of Pentecost )

Synopsis: Some of those in the Upper Room, might have been people who Jesus delivered during His earthly ministry. As they waited for the Promise, they just may have used the time giving testimonies of their miracles and remembering the Lord's goodness to them. Who knows?

Approx. Run Time: One Hour  
Cast of 20-30 people  (can be trimmed to fit your needs)

AT RISE:  Disciples and others waiting in the Upper Room

(Mary#1 begins to weep).          

John:  "Mary, are you growing tired?"

Mary#1: " It is just, that I still miss Jesus, this hurt inside me, this sadness,... I cannot seem to get over it."

Andrew: "Remember Mary, Jesus told us that when the Holy Ghost comes, it will be our comfort, and our sorrow will be turned to joy."

Martha: "Yes, and He said that the Holy Ghost would give us Peace, that passes all understanding."

Mary #2: "I wonder what it will be like? How will we know when it is here?"

Peter: "Well I am not certain, but we have been here ten days now, I do not think it will be much longer."

Bartimaus: "I was just sitting here thinking about what Jesus has already done for me, if the Holy Ghost is anything like my miracle, it will have to be glorious indeed."

Peter. "I think it would be good, while we tarry here, to talk of the miracles the Lord has done for us. Bartimaus, why don't you tell us again, how the Lord healed you."

Andrew:   "That was such a powerful miracle, and to think Jesus said that greater things would we do when the Holy Ghost comes. Caleb tells your miraculous story."

John:   "Surely the Holy Ghost will be as cleansing as that, for Jesus said, we would be baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire."

Mary:  "I want my brother to tell his miraculous story. I never grow tired of it."

Lazarus' Testimony & Action Scene
