"Lost Opportunities"

Synopsis: There are soul winning opportunities all around us, but how many times do we fail to see them as God does. A Recorded "thinking voice" is how Jane really see's the people she meets. God has to show her what might have been, had she been more sensitive to Him.

SPOT ON and follows Jane through scenes

Jane: (Getting ready for work, pauses & prays) O Lord lead me to lost souls today and help me do your will.(puts on shoes, etc) Oh I'd better hurry or I am going to be late.

(Goes outside-  Neighbor is sweeping her porch, picks up newspaper, waves to Jane) 

Jane's Thinking Voice: " Oh I hope she doesn't want to tie me up, I'm late already."

Mrs. Barnes:  Hi Jane, off to work? (opens paper) Isn't the news just terrible today? I don't know what's going to happen next. I wish I knew more about the Bible and the end times, but I just don't understand it."

Jane's Thinking Voice: "I wonder if she'd be interested in a Bible study?..No.. she goes to her church faithfully, I know she's probably satisfied there." (Jane looks at watch) "I guess we can only pray. Well I've got to rush, Mrs. Barnes"

Mrs. Barnes looks disappointed and turns away.Jane turns to leave, a small girl comes up to her. Holding flowers at her side)

Girl:   Oh hi, Miss Jane, can I come over to your house today? I missed the bus for school and our TV is broke. My Mom is real mad at me.She told me I have to stay outside, and not bother her, she has another headache. I don't know why she's always so mad at me, but if I go inside she'll whip me again.

(Jane shows impatience, rolls her eyes).
Jane's Thinking Voice:  "Her mother probably just has another huge hangover... why does she expect other people to look after her kids!
(to girl)  "No, not today, I'm going to work... by the way, where did you get those flowers?"

(Girl holds them out and says sadly)

Girl: Well  you have so many pretty flowers... and I just thought that..if I took some to my Mom,she wouldn't be mad at me anymore...sorry.

Jane:  (in a stern voice) "Well you shouldn't take someone's things without asking..don't you know that is stealing! 
(Looks at watch,rushes off,As she passes the "store")  " Oh I forgot those markers for that presentation. I'll have to stop at this store.

(Looks disdainfully at the wino sitting beside door. Goes into store, Inside a Teen boy is stealing something and Jane sees him)

ThinkingVoice:  "I should invite him to church, tell him that Jesus loves him."

As Jane thinks about this, Teen looks at her scornfully)

Teen: What are you looking at, gonna tell on me?    FREEZES

Thinking Voice: "Oh, he's so hardened already by the world, he would probably say something vulgar if I invited him to church. Look at that hair and his clothes. Ugh!"

Teen: I'm outta here. (rushes past her)

(Jane shrugs and makes a purchase and goes outside)

Thinking Voice: "Eew, what is that smell."  (looks down.. at wino)

Wino:  (reaches out hand) You got any spare change lady?

Thinking Voice:  "Oh why can't he at least take a bath, he smells horrible. If I give him money he'd just waste it on liquor. He looks like he's able to work. Why does he expect people to take care of him?"

Wino: Ha! what did I expect from the likes of you? (gets up and staggers off,  singing...............ei ei ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.)
