"The Contest "

Synopsis: There are three entities reaching for the soul of man:
the World with all its allure, Watered down Religion and True Bible Salvation. Who will win this contest?
Narrator (opens with synopsis, then introduces first two characters)
The first contestant is "Worldly Pleasures" (she struts out on to the stage with jazzy music)
The second contestant is "Religious Compromise"(she walks out very pompously, to pipe organ music)
SPOT LIGHT on Characters
Worldly Pleasures: Mirror, mirror in my hand, who will win the soul of man? (smiling and primping in mirror)
Religious Compromise: (snatches mirror) Well, it certainly isn't going to be you!
Pleasures: Hey! (acts indignant, then smiles). It's finally here, the day when Soul chooses one of us for his life's partner.(pause)I am sorry dear, but you can't possibly compete with me. I have everything Soul wants and I do mean everything.(laughs wickedly)
Compromise: Not so fast, Pleasures. I have an equal chance here. Just take a look at my regal appearance. Am I not a stunning vision of a bride?
Pleasures: Oh please! You may look all fancy, shmancy with that dress and your jewels, but I offer excitement and pleasure, and that's what Soul wants, deep down in his carnal nature.
ENTER True Salvation with majestic music, dressed in plain, but smudged gown , Pleasures and Compromise look at each and smirk)
Pleasures: Well..what do we have here?
Compromise: I don't know,... but she's obviously not in the running. (Both laugh)
Pleasures: So what's your name, Deary, and what cave did you just crawl out of? (very sarcastic and wicked laugh)
Truly: My name is True Salvation, but you can call me Truly. I am going to enter the contest for Soul, and when he sees the gifts I have for him, he will choose me for his companion.
(P & C look at each other and barely stifle rude laughter)
Pleasures: Ha! Do you really think you can compete with us for the soul of man? Don't be ridiculous!
